Methinks, a 'likely death toll of 100,000' is 99,000-too-many reasons enough to hold the Burmese government guilty of crimes against humanity. So long as even a single death that occurred since the cyclone hit Burma is due to the Burmese government's refusal to allow foreign aid into the country, the world has a right, in view of its purported support of Human Rights, to allay further deaths by self-defensive force. S/he who prevents the rescue of a person is guilty of causing the person’s death is s/he not?
So, 2 alternatives :
1. An aerial distribution of aid despite the Burmese government’s refusal,
2. Whilst efforts are underway to prepare for an invasion of Burma insofar as direct distribution post-invasion will further reduce civilian deaths than an aerial distribution of aid per se.
