Wow...Symbolically, this Palin photo is beyond sexist!!!

...Wow. Thats pretty wrong. If for no other reason, the fact that its a picture of just her legs is enough.
I agree with you, subliminal suggestive and high heels certainly did help the photographer make his point.
I agree with you on #1, #2 and the first part of #5, but #3, #4, and the rest of #5 I never would have come up with on my own. I do, though, see it now that it's been pointed out to me. I just wouldn't have come up with it on my own.

YEp. that photographer knew EXACTLY what they were doing when they took the picture.

Whats sad is that some people don't think it matters because she is Sarah Palin. It really saddens me to see people who call themselves feminists apply their beliefs to a select few...

Actually, you don't know that. It might well have been a full body shot when it was taken and was later cropped to reveal this. That in no way makes it better. In fact, one might even argue that it makes it worse.
LOL...cropping it like that does indeed make it worse.
Yup. Photographers often miss things when looking through the viewfinder that they see later on in the studio when they enlarge the shots. I know I've done it many times. What you choose to do with those discoveries when you make them speaks volumes as to what type of person you are.
"...What you choose to do with those discoveries when you make them speaks volumes as to what type of person you are."

Indeed it does.
I didnt have to know the last bits, just the fact its just of her legs with a guy standing between them was enough for me to consider it sexist. Actually now i think about it, its not only sexist its creepy.

Sorry to send it to that creepy level for you.

I just had to analyze so many of these types of pictures in various market ing communications courses that this has become second nature for me at this point. Sadly, this is a politician that they have done it too and that makes me sad.

Love her or hate her, she is still a powerful, successful woman. We need to have an iota of respect for her...

PS...Palin is my main issue with McCain - so this I am not an angry Palin supporter as the person who private messaged me suggested...

I don't think you want to see McCain's bare legs. . .
